One of our goals at Quantum2 is regenerating the soil, removing pollutants and chemicals and reducing atmospheric CO2 – generating natural, healthy produce. Our latest win adds new land to the ecosystem, improves the planet and moves towards a positive future world.
Why is regeneration so important? Every day we eat food that’s been grown in exhausted, unhealthy soil, so it needs to be packed with nitrogen and other chemicals, the food we eat loaded with pesticides and herbicides and we miss the opportunity to bind more carbon in the earth, because conventional use and overproduction means the land just can’t grow things naturally.
The air we breathe is getting worse because of chemicals used and wildlife is slowly disappearing as their habitats are destroyed. We all feel the effects, yet we continue living this way, as if we're trapped in an endless cycle with no way out. Let’s stop talking about it. How do we do it? As more people get involved with us, we acquire and manage land sustainably, prioritizing these problems and solving them. That means zero harmful pesticides, herbicides, forever chemicals, increasing natural areas and habitats, generating only healthy produce, improving hedgerows, creating healthy living and working spaces and bringing down CO2, amongst our many targets.
Through various projects, like our 56-hectare area of forest, integrated with regenerative agriculture and ecodevelopment, we’re making a real impact. We have preserved 100% of natural forest areas and increased that by 7%, regenerated biosystems, expanded the hedgerows, and created spaces where local wildlife can feed and thrive. After regenerating the soil we will be going fully organic. It’s all part of our commitment to restoring balance and nurturing the land for future generations.
Our sustainable land management leads to the following outcomes – 30% additional CO2 sequestration and atmospheric reduction, 0% pollution, 0% harmful pesticides/ herbicides, 0% plastics, 0% forever chemicals, 100% organic produce for a healthier population, increased animal habitats, 7% increase in hedgerow, 5% increase in existing forest areas, healthy living and working environments with minimum energy, resources and certification, vulnerable and minority group job creation, removing harmful leeching cleaning run-off, groundwater, rivers and eventually the sea (amongst other benefits).
